USB Charging Outlets

Learn More
While many commercial spaces now feature USB charging outlets, homes have been slow to adapt — in part because there is rarely a need to replace old outlets. However, swapping out your current power outlets for newer ones that support USB charging is fast, economical, and surprisingly straightforward.

You can explore our current inventory of USB charging outlets below. We carry a wide range of models compatible with USB-A, USB-C, Power Delivery (PD), and Quick Charge (QC) 2.0/3.0 technology, as well as convenient multi-packs for outfitting an entire property.

Our Products
As the name implies, our USB charging outlets add USB charging functionality to a standard in-wall power outlet. We offer our products in multiple colors and configurations, with support for the following protocols:

• USB-A: USB-A cables are easily identifiable by their rectangular end connector. Though less prevalent now that USB-C technology is more popular, many older devices still use USB-A. Plus, adapters are easy to find, giving you the flexibility to switch between standards when necessary.
• USB-C: USB-C is the heir to USB-A and is present on many newer phones, tablets, and other wireless devices. It features a rounded, reversible connector that can be plugged in with either end facing up. If you already use USB-C devices, a wall outlet with this connectivity is the obvious choice.
• Power Delivery/Quick Charge 3.0: PD and QC 3.0 are special types of USB-C connections that allow for faster charging. Both systems work as standard USB outlets, too.

Benefits
The main benefit of installing a USB charging outlet is that you no longer have to worry about keeping a USB “power brick” or wall adapter on hand. Imagine the freedom of charging your devices anywhere in the home using only a USB cable. That means less clutter, more convenience, and less risk of running out of power when you need it most.
Installation

USB chargers install the same way a standard outlet does. After making sure the power is off, simply remove the existing receptacle with a screwdriver and reconnect the wires to the new one. The process is fast and easy and requires no special tools or equipment. As always, if you’re unsure how to do this safely, you can always have a contractor or electrician take care of it for you.
