8800-TR is an outlet cover with an innovative, tamper-resistant design that fits both decorator and duplex receptacles. Unlike typical wall plates, the tamper-resistant design keeps the plug outlets completely covered whenever they are not in use. To plug in an appliance, users simply use the plug to slide the cover horizontally before pressing it into the outlet. Due to the unique tamper-resistant design, this 1-gang outlet cover is a little larger than a typical wall plate at 4.75” x 3.9”. In order to fit both decorator and duplex style receptacles, the wall plate includes both screws and covers for the unused screw holes. Depending on whether you use the wall plate with a duplex or decorator outlet, the hardware configuration will be slightly different. Note that duplex outlets will require an additional included piece be attached to the backside of the wall plate. This receptacle wall plate is made from ultra-durable Polycarbonate Thermoplastic material for its long-lasting durability.
