PIR Motion Sensor Switch (Neutral Wire Required)

• Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion with 180° field of view to automatically turn lights ON/OFF based on the occupancy or vacancy in a room

• Features CDS technology, an automatic ambient light level sensing technology that remembers your ON/OFF behaviors to turn your lights ON at your preferred light level

• Motion sensor wall switch features a universal wiring design with interchangeable hot and load wires to make installation easier; compatible in constructions with neutral wire ONLY; most buildings constructed in the 80’s and 90’s should have a neutral wire present to adhere to modern building codes

• Occupancy sensor mode (Auto ON, Auto OFF) and vacancy sensor mode (Manual ON, Auto OFF) allow you to customize the sensor according to your needs; adjustable time delay options: 15 sec (Test), 5 min, 10 min, 20 min, 30 min

• Compatible in newer homes only – NEUTRAL WIRE IS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION; 1200 square feet max coverage area, 180-degree field of view; 5A, 120VAC @ 60 Hz; 1800W incandescent/halogen, 360W LED/CFL, 1/6HP motor rating; #12-14 AWG (copper wire only); clamp-type wiring; flammability UL 94 V2 rating; single-pole only; device dimensions: 2.5″ W x 4.5″ H x 2.5″ D; UL listed; 1-year warranty

Motion Sensor Switch, NEUTRAL WIRE REQUIRED, PIR Sensor Light Switch with Ambient Light Level Detector

The TOPGREENER TDOS5-M Motion Sensor Switch automatically turns lights and loads ON and OFF according to the motion detected in the room. The programming controls are located under the face cover of the device. There’s a sensor range dial, a time delay dial, and a press-button that changes between Occupancy (OCC) and Vacancy (VAC) modes.

In occupancy mode, lights are automatically turned ON when you enter a room. Then, automatically turned OFF when the room is vacant. Alternatively, vacancy mode requires the light switch to be turned ON manually. Then, it will shut OFF automatically after the room is vacant for a preselected amount of time. This time delay can be easily adjusted from 15 seconds (TEST) to 30 minutes.

In addition to occupancy and vacancy modes, this auto light switch can also control the lighting intelligently with CDS technology. The sensor switch has a built-in ambient light level sensor. This prevents the light from turning ON if there is already enough natural light in the space. The technology is also capable of learning and adapting to user behavior. If the light switch is activated automatically and the user turns it OFF within 15 seconds, the sensor will remember the light level at which the switch was turned OFF and prevent it from turning ON at that level again. This motion-sensing wall switch is ideal for rooms that you enter with your hands full, such as a residential entryway, laundry room, garage, kitchen, or pantry.

The sensor switch will also help you conserve energy by ensuring the light is never left on by mistake. This PIR sensor switch has a 180° field of view and is best suited for spaces up to 1200 square feet. This wall switch requires a neutral wire for installation. Neutral wires are required by modern building codes and are usually present in newer constructions that were built in the 80’s and 90’s. Older constructions generally do NOT have neutral wires. This product is UL listed and includes a one-year warranty.

Pair with a standard or screwless wall plate.
